This policy explains what personal data Ascent Hub collects, why, and the rights you have over it. We are the data controller and are based in Valencia, Spain.
1. Data we collect
When you apply and use your account we collect the details you give us — name, email, phone, position, industry, affiliations, experience, interests, any message, and an optional profile photo and social links. We also keep basic account and event-RSVP records.
2. How we use it
We use your data to review your application, run the membership community, make relevant introductions, show your profile in the members' directory, organise events, and communicate with you about the network. If you opt in, we send occasional updates about events and workshops.
3. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your data based on your consent (given when you apply), our legitimate interest in running the community, and where relevant the performance of our agreement with you. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Sharing
We never sell your data. Your directory profile is visible to other approved members. We use trusted service providers (for example hosting and email) who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
5. Retention
We keep your data for as long as you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and administrative needs, then delete or anonymise it.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete, restrict, port or object to the processing of your data. To exercise any right, email us using the address below. You may also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).
7. Cookies
We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. We do not use advertising trackers.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and we will flag material changes.
